There are high schools where one can walk the halls and see, within almost every office, staff using the Deans', Attendance, and Make Your Own Database Programs. Almost half of the high schools in the Bronx have used our testing programs each term, with some having done so continuously for 10 years.

Testing Administrator $999 Item # 97-1370.18.4
ISBN 0-9713701-8-4
- Windows with many DOS ease of use features preserved. Windows help file. Place
cursor over a button to find out what it does. Other than former students and those from
other schools virtually NO student data need be hand entered.
- Step by step instruction booklet and Windows' help file.
- Determines students who should take regents and/or RCT's by
considering students' subject classes, previous exams, cohort year, and admit date.
- Allows school wide additions based on 9th grade admit date, regent grades on previous
comparable exams, and special education.
- Finds and optionally removes students who passed a scheduled exam or
alternative.
- Room assignments can be
made with considerations of conflicts with other exams, truancy, special education, and bilingual needs and
size of room.
- Biographical information and exam credits are viewable while
browsing.
- Previous room assignment dates for each exam and conflict set are viewable when
making room assignments.
- Dates when the term's work began, groups were added and/or removed in a pop up window.
- Browsing by room allows conflict sets to appear together.
Suppose there was a conflict between RCT_MATH and SPAN in room 222.
In the Regent Administrator students would be listed for RCT_MATH and later for SPAN.
Now they appear together in conflict order.
- Graduate candidates may be assigned separately.
- Create an Excel spread sheet or printout of all students taking exams. Suitable for
submission to Bd of Ed data center. Two minutes instead of days!
- Printouts include
- To each student, schedule of all their exams with rooms, time,
and optionally, important end of term notices. Distribution by period, with subject class,
room, and teacher or official class
- To each subject teacher of a regent exam
- School wide suitable for wall posting
- To Proctors
- Master schedule by counselors and school wide for deans.
- List of Cohort Seniors and Last Year's Cohort Seniors may be compiled and edited.
- Special ed students who took but did not pass an regent can automatically be
found and added, provided then did not pass the comparable RCT.
- Printouts of involving students in their exam room handles conflict rooms differently.
Using the previous
example, with the Regent Administrator the same room was listed separately for RCT_MATH and SPAN,
each with a C next to the number of students. Now the number of students in room 222
would only appear in the conflict listing, RCT_MATH/SPAN, and not in those for RCT_MATH
or SPAN.
- Printouts intended for counselors, department chairs, and school wide
distribution may created, previewed on screen, and opened as an Excel spread sheet

Deans' 2002 $849 Item # 97-1370.14.1 ISBN 0-9713701-4-1
Shipping version works with all current data sources.
Window's program keeps many of the 'ease of use' features of the DOS based version in a new interface. The data may be distributed and shared
over a network. Added features should especially please security and guidance personnel.
Uses the same data, so integration with other programs, such as attendance and the Database Generator does not change.
A Pentium 350 or equivalent and Windows 95 or higher is required.
The infraction information may be separately shared and edited on a small network,
such as a Deans' Office or Guidance Suite. Amazing security statistics are easily
generated. No other known software can better help administrators focus on student
infractions (cutting, fighting, verbal assault, brought intruder into building, etc.)
and the measures taken (warned, phoned home, principal suspension, etc.) to those
infractions.
Included Features not Found in DOS Version

printed on a single page.

program can now contain a message. These may also be be placed on a network.
- Student's photo can appear in biographical screen, printed on program.

Make Your Own Database (Guidance) $599 Item # 967955.52.1 ISBN 0-9679555-2-1
Requires Deans' Program
Creates databases of groups of students based on their programs, age, admit date, grades,
absences, program planners and classes, RCT credits or choice. Based on these same
criteria, groups of students may be added to the original group or subgroups from the
original group formed. Any number of groups may be formed and previous groups
recalled at any time with all relevant data automatically updated. Not a single name, class,
phone number, etc., need be typed.
From these groups grades, averages, biographical and attendance reports and honor rolls
may be generated and printed in various sorts (alpha, official class, grade level, feeder
school). These "printed" reports may be sent to a screen or floppy disk for printing at
another location or imported into a word processor. Administrators and counselors may
'tag' individuals or subgroups for in-school letters, letters home, teachers, and
Phonemaster (tm) compatible phone list on disk. To help reach all youngsters these phone number files may be sorted in various orders. The program allows unique letters to be
composed, saved, and latter recalled for further use or editing.
Data, such as number of absences, failing grades, and required graduation exams passed and/or subject areas in which exam credit is still needed may be automatically determined and inserted by the program for each student - the "silver bullet" for the cohort dilemna. Any faculty member may
create and store their own personalized set of letters for correspondence with students.
Special routines are designed for creating groups based on DRP scores as well as specific
grades, number of absences, age, feeder school, subject class, etc. The programs and
grades of any student (with teacher and including PM school) is available at the push of a
button. Groups created by one (i.e., students in need of immunization) may be uploaded
and used by others. A special Windows (tm) help program and
instructional booklet with numerous examples is supplied. Requires Deans' Program.
